- Installation, maintenance, repair and removal of overhead and underground wires.
- Checking and repairing defective equipment
- Cable locates
- Pole installation
Apprenticeships / Co-ops
Northern Ontario Wires Inc. sometimes
seeks apprentices and co-op students who are currently completing
their Power Line Technician accreditation.
Bursaries
Northern Ontario Wries Inc. offers three
bursaries in the amount of $500 to students in Kapuskasing, Cochrane
and Iroquois Falls wishing to pursue a career as a Power Line
Technician. Bursary applications are to be completed by secondary
school officials.
